From Head to Toe
This is one hilarious book! It tells you about many things in the past that people had worn. It has information on tattoos, dresses, clothes, shoes, bathing suits, jewelry, and even wigs. The majority of the ideas for new trends seem to come from Ancient Egypt. Did you know that Egyptian women used to shave off their hair and wear wigs instead just to have the look of never going to go gray hair? That only women were allowed to use umbrellas on rainy days in the past? And did you also know that men were the only ones allowed to wear heels when the style first came out? Weird if you ask me. People were arrested or made fun of if they showed up wearing something that nobody had ever seen before. In swimwear women went from covering every skin molecule to covering partially a small amount of skin! I would have liked to see the looks on them people back then.
